Caer:
Caer was the fairy maiden whom the love god Aengus fell in love with in a dream. He wanted to marry her and asked her father Ethal, for her hand. But Ethal could not grant this wish as his daughter had taken the form of a swan. However it was agreed that Aengus could ask Caer to marry him if he was able to recognize her from among a large flock of swans.
When the swans arrived at Lake of the Dragon's Mouth, Aengus who was waiting by the shore, reached out to her and he too, was turned into a swan. They flew away together.
